Since FC2Web is going down, I recommend going through sites that have sozai you use that are on FC2Web and downloading all images and saving the archived url of the website for crediting of course. Also, FC2 and FC2Web are different. Most sites will be safe.

Will it affect FC2 counters? :o
I don't know anything about FC2 counters unfortunately as I have never used them, but anything hosted on FC2Web will go down. If it's not hosted on FC2Web, it will be fine.
