I’m really starting to hate the AncientCrypt’s linear infrastructure, the “sitemap” as concept; websites should weave through your fingers as ephemeral tapestries or labyrinths, alien and strange, untracked territory in cartographic blanks. I feel like there isn’t mystery anymore. “A white wall may seem empty. (..) was it you? I don’t remember.”
I quite like the mystery. I considered wrapping my own site in this shroud, but felt guilty about those wayward travelers who are led astray and thus cannot appreciate the wonders of each page. I do understand, though, the allure of omitting the sitemap altogether. It’s like using fast travel in Skyrim. GET ON THAT HORSE AND GO THE WAY IT WAS INTENDED!
