I HATE SQUARESPACE! Everytime the commercial comes on. I start cussing at it LOL! “Make a website in under 5 minutes!”. And all the websites look the same on there lmao. Big splash pages and minimalistic designs. “Use are AI templates.” It’s literally killing me inside.

Yeah Squarespace is very different from Neocities. Squarespace is just a rapid generator for those who *need* a page but don't know how to create a file on their own computer. Neocities, that's a *place* for those who *want* to create a Web Site with the sole intent of self-expression!

WOW! Colorworld just turned 1 years old today! I remember on the night before June 3rd 2025. I was watching a YouTube video called "Why did the 2000s looked like that." and the video was talking about a site called "Neocities". During that time I was running a boring portfolio website for 10 years. I was nervous on shutting it down. I was at work thinking, "Screw it! I'm making Colorworld my childhood dream site!"
