i've been meaning to improve the load times of my website, but i'm not sure where to start. has my website was slow to load; if so, which parts do you think i can improve/check on to make it better? i appreciate any help. here is the repository link if you want: https://codeberg.org/Infi-power/neocities-website

It seems like the problem is that you're using too much JavaScript. The only page on my site that lags is the index, which uses external scripts for webrings. I'm thinking that you're having a similar problem, since you seem to have quite a lot of scripts. Try to find HTML/CSS exclusive solutions or merge .js files into script tags in HTML files. I'm not an expert on this though, so don't take this too literally!

nice idea actually, since my javascript code is a mix between jquery and regular selection methods. i can replace exifr with statically generated data too, since i build the picture indexes via a seperate code.

Up until maybe 2016 I could still find old consoles for that price in thrift stores in the states, but those days are long gone... if you find more and clean them, do post!

another update where i add the most fundamental thing that my website lacked for two years... make sure your computer doesn't overheat; no warranties whether your device will break or not. (hard refresh needed)

pushed a small fix in the browser code where if you click on the references within a page, you'd get teleported back to the top. next thing to do is refresh the link page once again...

to make sure this thing works, please refresh the page forcefully by shift+click the reload icon; otherwise this change won't be applied, because of caching (my assumption at least)
