Exactly! Neocities inspires my creativity, while instagram inspired me to have low self-esteem. I was tired of being the product *and* the consumer on social media apps with the data I gave them.

Ough I don't miss facebook... I got rid of it last year. There really was no point of me being on there other than to stalk former classmates & see what questionable things my parents were saying. One of my best decisions was to finally just leave. Now my folks just message me through our phone's generic messenger rather than...you know...messenger.
working on my site has literally be one of the few things that i've genuinely enjoyed for just myself through my terrible art burnout. it's a great creative outlet even when i can't draw or paint like i used to!
10 years clean from Facebook, 4 from Instagram. I don't miss either of them!
