The dashboard on beta now lets you "Force a Stylesheet" which applies a set CSS file to your chat regardless of where it's embedded or if it's even initialized

Due to the nature of how this works, this feature will only work with CSS files hosted on web servers with CORS enabled. If you don't have CORS enabled, you can continue to style your chat using chattable.initialize()

First, the Dashboard no longer shows grayed out buttons when no chat is selected. Fixed a bug on Firefox that gave a 404 error inside the chat preview when no chat is selected.

Second, the settings menu in each chat is now preloaded with your CSS. Meaning you won't ever see the default unstyled settings page if you are using custom CSS

Did you know the beta tester badge is the rarest badge on Chattable? There's only been 2 people to ever carry the badge. Neither of these people carry it anymore, as it's been replaced with the "Chattable Support" badge (ref. ".devTag" in the code) but messages with the old beta tester badge are grandfathered in, and if any such message(s) still exist, they will be the only message(s) that could ever wield this badge

Chat Owners! Managing your moderators has finally gotten easier. Mod names are now logged when you promote a user and are used to identify each moderator on the dashboard.

Chattable is working on a feature that will allow mods & owners to attach objects to automated messages which can render HTML documents and even videos inside messages!

We've removed our button wall to help prevent trolls or other people with ill intent from having easy access to a number of our users. This section has been replaced with a testimonial section.

Many of the themes haven't changed! I just added some spice to some super old ones which haven't been edited since 2021 (and chattable has a lot of new things to customize now)

Feels too smooth and clean, but reading your article about the decision makes me appreciate it. I can admit there have been times where I've given up one something just because the site isn't easy to understand. (Github repositories, if that's what they're called, always get me. I can never naviagte them easily)

The Kick Theme/Demo just got a big redesign with a frutiger-aero look. This theme was made in reference to Kik Messenger but never really looked the part. Now it does!

New theme for Chattable called bytechat, a fun reference to bitchat if you guys have heard of it. It's a decentralized messaging app that uses tor & a bluetooth mesh network to work when it has no access to internet or cellular. It's cool, you can chat with strangers in "rooms" too, much like Chattable

Kyle says he's investigating the URL parameter issue. This will determine if I change hosts back to Neocities for Chattable. I like the platform, as a form of posting updates & seeing updates but if it withers my site's functionality it defeats the usefulness.

It's easier to navigate, more accessible for those with disabilities, looks cleaner on my portfolio, and I like bootstrap. With as many new users I get every month I want to make navigation as easy as possible which started with improving the dashboard and led to overhauling everything.

Edit: Kyle provided a workaround solution which I was already aware of but it required me to change the links in each of your iframes (not possible) so I'm choosing to stay self hosted but will continue to post and comment on Neocities.

It's being made with bootstrap, instead of my own janky CSS. (I have no talent in graphic design) for everyone else's sake. Makes things easier to read, find stuff, and more accessibility.
