(1/2) i don't think it's weird to delete your site but still visit your friends !! i have internet friends that i made when i was 11 (no parental supervision smh) and even though i stopped being in contact with them after a year or so, i still remember them very fondly even after over a decade.... as for leaving your site up or not--i think there's something special about preserving abandoned things.

wherever you decide to go, you'll be remembered, you are quite hard to forget! i relate a lot to trying to maintain mindfulness and intention when creating something that essentially is meant for the consumption of an audience. balancing the want to make "content" for others to see and the want to make "art" for myself, while keeping my intentions "pure" for both

As someone who has floated deleting my website myself, I can relate and I wonder myself whether the feeling will come back again, but if you ever do leave neocities both your website and your writings will be well missed and I hope we stay in touch, or even if you don’t as well, I’d love to be penpals!

ofc i'll remember u, ure hard to forget. the idea of an abandoned you floating around somewhere is something that i adore about old sites, finding something left for someone else to find, but i also understand how it can make someone uneasy cus i wouldnt love that feeling either. i wouldnt judge u at all for doing what feels right to u, and id be so happy if u still kept visiting me :) whatever makes u happy limo

I think it is reasonable if you completely burnt out and make your site inactive, I get that too. I couldn't ship handwritten letters but emailing is a form I would like to take! Btw limo, do what your brain and heart said and try to ease yourself :]]]

i seriously appreciate everyones feedback and kind words. it all means a lot. leaning towards not deleting my website. disable profile + cease further updates + log out permanently seems like the way to go. ill be sure to leave my new email in your guestbooks or chatboxes once deadline hell is over in a month's time. :)
