It's been nearly two years since you told me you couldn't see the hotlinked-from-discord images on my site and I responded so unnecessarily flippantly that you deleted your comment. You may not remember this but I do, sorry, you were absolutely right that it's bad practice and I am *finally* going through and fixing it

Also, finally actually hosting my art ON MY SITE. It's shameful I waited this long. Years ago poor cuberton tried to tell me that a lot of my externally linked images were broken from their point of view (since tumblr/discord were blocked on their school computers) and I gave some unforgivably flippant answer like "that sounds like a you problem". god no, I'm the webmaster, fixing that is absolutely my job

I finally passed 25% storage space usage and had a brief moment of panic before realizing that using up barely a fourth of the site's storage really does Not matter. (If I'm smart about this refactor, I might get it back down again, too.)

People are just twits. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-58518892 ... Max is one of those 'teenage' puppies, and of a breed that is allegedly one of the most difficult, being a Border Collie. We have no problems with him. When we first adopted him last year, the previous owners had piled on a load of 'issues' that he was supposed to have had that could have resulted in him getting put down if the wrong rescue had taken

taken him on. Mostly, he was just bored and scared because he'd been locked up on his own for hours on end, and sometimes behaved like he'd been mistreated. I just hope none of these folks have kids, or need to care for a chronically ill/elderly relative because if they can't cope with a puppy, they wouldn't be able to cope with that. Most of these 'issues' that dogs have are dogs just being dogs and the problem is

I'm convinced most people are incapable of empathy. Most symptoms of autism that autistic children and adults are punished for are also obvious signs of being mistreated. People expect everyone to be perfect and then brutally kick their maladies under the rug if they aren't.

If not lacking in empathy, I think people can certainly disregard the feelings and welfare of other people (and animals) when it suits them to do so.
