So. i actually think google is sucking up my bandwidth bc if you google image search oudkee it pulls a couple images from my art portfolio section. which makes sense but is super annoying. google urselves and see if it's sucking up your bandwidth too if yours is high like mine keeps going

ill fix it later on bc im having a really stressful weekend as it is but like i suggested i will be hotlinking some of my art from deviantart for a bit. after filegarden went down that one time i don't fully trust it

okay it's definitely my art gallery causing my hits counter to go up because i only reuploaded like 10 pieces and it's off the freaking charts again with my bandwidth fluctuating real bad. i might just start hotlinking from deviantart and see how it does for a bit

the neocities bandwidth thing seems to be a counter issue and not someone using up my bandwidth HOWEVER: i'm going to take time reuploading my art portfolio and clean up some backend stuff. i might delete my OCs page since i don't use it and i might see what toybox or whatever it's called is about in terms of oc info. even though i literally dont use my ocs for anything

if anyone is hotlinking to my images can you please stop doing so? i'm almost over my bandwidth for the month in a matter of a few days. if you want to keep hotlinking then you should paypal me $10 right now so i can buy neocities supporter again for a couple months desarm@live.com

@hardmachine 200 per month but i can't figure out when the reset day is, it was 25 last week, dropped to 16 on saturday, then went to 100 then 159 yesterday and now it's back to 68?? but apparently your site just becomes Invisible to others but since idk when the reset day is idk for how long it'd be

Wow, TIL. I got worried for a second because mine seems a bit high despite not uploading much / any hotlinks were from me, but I've never experienced going over or knew if this was another invisible feature.

I always figured hotlinking was rude as fuck for people with their own server space, on NC it's still rude but ultimately Drake's problem lol.

my bandwidth was 159 yesterday then 68 this morning and now 98 again so i wonder if something's just wrong with the counter?? but im glad to know other people have gone over with nothing happening lmao... if youre a supporter i think its 1gb but im just confused as to whats going on

I thought it was commonly understood in 2025 that you SHOULDN'T hotlink someone's images from their site. There has to be a way to find out who it is (by IP or Neocities profile)

@starlybelle same, but after more observations + comments on my other post i'm also not 100% sure that's what's happening? because my bandwidth has been fluctuation up and down and seemingly resetting, and others' is going way over the allotted 200 mb with no effect so maybe it's a server/counter issue?
