I found my first Book of Shadows today. I started writing in it over 10 years ago, only got a few pages into it and stopped. I was doing an Open University science course that was pretty intensive at the time and I was probably too tired in the evenings to write in it - after that, I went to Derby Uni to do my Zoology course and had no energy for anything else other than reading fantasy novels and watching films/

tv series on DVD. When I got to the information sections, it's just a list and not much else and done in pencil, so I might just erase that and continue with information. Why I decided that runes should be first before gods and goddesses seems a bit silly... I need to get back those books I was working through. On the plus side, it is a lot easier now finding reliable resources and doing things through the internet

with youtube and whatever than it was back then. I also know more, even if there are still lots of gaps in my knowledge. One of the main things is I've found that Norse paganism isn't as separate from druidry and wicca as I thought it was - that's down to bad, racist/sexist organizations that had a big voice when I first looked into it (even the reprint of the book on Runes I got from the library cite them :(. )

There are more resources now, thankfully and I am figuring out ways of doing things on my own.

For the past few weeks, I've been feeling quite tired and wiped out in the evenings. I think it's because I anticipate a lot of stress this winter. The world is in a worst state now than it was at the end of 2019. I am not looking forward to the coming months.

People always seem to use me to off load their unwanted stuff. I don't want it - I really don't! I have a couple of pursues and they are a lot nicer and in better condition that the crap I've just been given.

I have also found that with the state that the world is in at the moment, there are issues that transcend the arguments presented by left and right politics and the only thing that remains to be important is the maintenance human decency.

One thing I will never understand is people who claim to be all fuzzy and light, nice, socialists on social media and tumblr will post, repost/reblog the most disgusting things anyone can ever post. (I am sure that Tories do the same thing, but you expect awful things from Tories.) It's like they think saying that they are socialists gives them a license to be repulsive.

I've always wanted to build booknooks - now there's a bunch of videos on youtube that show you how. Some are really impressive with electronics. (Don't think I'd be able to do that, though because I don't have all the equipment, nor room for it, but it would be a great project for teenagers doing their Tech/art GCSEs.)

I like making miniatures, but don't have the room to build 12th scale dollshouses because even small ones are large.

There's a zoo in the UK that is closing because they are building a new zoo to upgrade the enclosures for the animals. Most media outlets are falsely implying that they are closing for good...

My stomach is still playing up a little bit so I've spent the day cross stitching a squirrel. It's not finished yet, but it's more than half done.

I'm going to be updating some of the LOTRO stuff soon. It's been ages and there's been quite a few changes since I last worked on that part of the site. The Anor server is closing (I didn't really play on it, anyway) and I've got some new houses, and ditched the kinship homes because I couldn't keep up with the upkeep.

Thanks. It's a side effect of the tablets and I occasionally have a reaction like that. It was worse on the Metformin and Glucophage forms of the tablets. It's settled down now, thankfully.

Been reading Jean M Auel's Clan of the Cave Bear this week. It's been so long since I last read any of her work that I forgot how much I enjoyed it. It's a shame that books published now like the depth and detail of books published 40 (approx) years ago and

It's amazing how miserable a broken down laptop can make you and it feels like a stupid thing to be miserable about when there are worse things going on in the world.

It seems that my geo laptop finally died this morning. It has been acting up since June and I only got it last October/November. Wouldn't recommend the company to anyone wanting a new laptop. It also seems to be very difficult to get a new laptop these days which doesn't have rubbish storage capacity on it. Quite ironically, the 5 year old + laptop I'm using now is better (and probably the best laptop I've ever had)
