why do we hate other people? why do we care so much about what others do with themselves? why? why do we feel hate so much and in such large amounts? why do i feel hatred towards my dad, and why do i feel hate for the ones who harmed me? why don't i let go? this is a question that lingers in my mind.

These are actually some really deep questions. I will say that I was the same way and almost lost it entirely. I would just say that remember your past self and reflect on your present self, then try to work to better yourself, rather than hatred, seek understanding, though you may still not like him.

I knew a classmate who hated me, but when we bumped into each other after being in the same room for five months, we just conversed, then laughed. I am sure the feelings were still there, but we overcame those feelings to be understanding (by this, I do not mean empathy, but the understanding of ideologies, I generally lack empathy).

hate is both a defense mechanism and an offense mechanism. it protects us and also lets us attack. its not something you can consciously choose to feel or not to feel so its near impossible to let go of it, especially if its towards those who have hurt you. thats what i believe at least xpp

feelings being kept inside and bubbling up is also a defense mechanism. some fear if they let them out, there will be consequences or somehow their normal will be altered in some way. we as humans are very afraid of change, which well, for good reason. but that also causes a lot of us to cope in unhealthy ways with those fears, especially if u have trauma surrounding letting ur emotions out

I spent the whole day listening to older Би-2 songs today, because the Russian language radio station was playing a 90s and 00s pop music marathon (Ирина Салтыкова [a.k.a worst casting in Brother 2], Максим, etc.) and I wanted to get away from that music. There is a time and a place for that music (I enjoyed a song like that was at a party when a Глюкоза song was playing [nobody knew the singer, though]), however...

Би-2 is great, and jfc I will never forgive Balabanov for letting Irina be in Brother 2. Now that you mention it I never realized I hadn't yet reviewed any Russian music albums, which I definitely now plan to do.

All of my personal favourite Russian music is pre-2000s although there's many great lesser known bands that are more "current" such as Состояние Птиц for example. My least favourite singers though are any of the ones that come from Tik Tok (and Алексей Воробьёв).

A lot of people think I am harsh, but I do not like their discography and would sooner listen to classic pop (Eduard Khil, Igor Kutoy, et al.) than their stuff.

It isn't that I enjoy her music, I just hate Tik Tok kids more )) And I entirely agree on both Kino and T.a.T.u. I never understood the hype around T.a.T.u. even among western music fans. Classic pop is way better, and I'd even prefer someone like Dima Bilan over them ( who I must admit - has some banger songs).

I admit that I like some of Oleg Gazmanov's newer songs too, but I cannot stand Алексей Воробьёв or Pierre Narcisse (I will never forgive Союзмультфильм for using one of his songs in Ну погоди!).

volk: Saltykova's (admittedly indulgent) inclusion was a concession that Selyanov and Balabanov probably couldn't resist, especially considering the sweep of Balabanov's ambition, and likelihood that CTB presented him with an ultimatum.
