hopefully soon! came down quite busy after the last post and, combined with a general lack of motivation, it's been a bit difficult finding that voice in myself once again. i do have a few ideas and short drafts though, so i will probably work on those after i tweak the main page around a bit.

Tysm for the follow! Your site has this very calming energy for some reason, maybe it’s bc of the light green, idk. Love the simplicity of your layout. Good luck in learning Turkish btw! It’s truly a fascinating and somewhat metaphoric language, hope you have a lot of fun studying it!

I didn’t really have a quote in mind when saying that it’s metaphoric but as you’ve probably noticed, even the Neşet Ertaş song lyrics that you’ve posted on your blog are proof. “Kendim ettim, kendim buldum (lit. translation: I did [it] myself, I found [it] myself aka you reap what you sow) vs “I’m a victim of my own mistakes”… “Yaktın yüreğimi nara” vs “You burned my heart to a fire”…

You will come across soooo many differences like this as you explore Turkish literature and speech and you will FEEL them, trust me

Thank you! I find your site very cozy as well, it reminded me that I should probably populate mine a bit with buttons and more information about myself, I've been meaning to but I've been quite busy. Turkish is indeed a fascinating language; its grammatical structures allow for intriguing and beautiful sentences such as those in the song by Ertaş. I have had progress in it lately, albeit rather slow!

Nice website. I like reading your logs. I hope you are feeling better than you did last September. Like you, lock down was a time for personal healing too.
