ive found https://11ty.dev to be easy to work with!

problem is i’m scared to move my whole site over LOL, i never understood any of the tutorials i read on 11ty bc of all the terminal stuff. idm working with html, it’s just wanting to make a lazy method to just type in words/tick checkboxes/dropdowns and have a flexible HTML code spit out LOL (mad respect to ppl who go the 11ty route tho)

11ty setup can be painful, but most of the actual terminal work is right at the beginning. It does have a feature called shortcodes which lets you define a chunk of HTML with variables, and then you pull in that chunk wherever using a single line of code with the options you want. Kinda sounds like what you're looking for. Still hard to recommend though.

oooh that is neat to know at least!!! to be fair i might gripe but i actually love working with spreadsheets, it's just all the pre-setup to do before you have a functional template

if you just want to fill a template with content + are on macos i can send you over the shell script i use for building my blog? its super basic though

sadly im windows 😭 it's more that it'd just be a simple spreadsheet to fill the details out for like. a media log entry cause im lazy to copy and paste LOL

ngl sometimes figuring out how to display faves is so hard. i put like a row of stamps with no context and gave up LOL

to be fair that's how my stamps are right now LOOL, mad respect to people who can organize them by colour or theme, i just plop them in too w/zero context and call it done
