Good eye. Dusk OS has been under heavy development for the past few months. The mailing list is very active. Virgil Dupras has recently put in a lot of effort in improving the emulation layer. The makefile in the root directory now works with no frills. Regardless of any theories of impending catastrophe, I think Dusk OS in particular is a marvelous project. It's the first real shot at a Forth Operating System.

Thanks! I noticed there was a lot of sensationalized stuff out there on these systems. Articles either made the developer look like a loon or made-out that the system was built for nuclear apocalypse. So I wanted to offer a more no-frills, down-to-earth analysis. Happy to see the project is still moving forward.

I just looked up Bystander & I've never seen it before; It's so evocative! How big was it in the museum? I heard that seeing art in person, seeing the actual size of the canvas/etc. is an entirely different experience than seeing it elsewhere.

୨୧vashti it was huge.! i think the dimensions were at least five feet across and four feet high. it was bigger than me.! i definitely felt moved by the sheer size of the piece. also the frame had seashells and glitter on it, and was very decorative and beautiful. i loved it. i really wish i had taken a picture.

a somewhat big update: changed the blogpost font. ubuntu (what i originally used) has a very unique look that i really liked, but its spacing is weird whenever an italic span is followed by e.g. a semicolon. i don't want to do some any complicated tweaking involving css or the font files themselves, & having to insert a hair-space every time is obviously not the best practice, so i changed the font entirely.

i also decided that i want to have only two fonts as the main font: for long-ish texts, source serif 4, and for anything else, ubuntu mono. i'm liking how it's turning out so far
