Hi! I was thinking, if you don't have it already, look into iNaturalist! You have a lot of valuable knowledge on snails and other invertabrates, and I think you'd like it there. There are projects you can join that are focused on specific things, like this one: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/snails-of-the-world You can even start your own project and link your site to it if you wanted!

There is also a way to get your iNat observations to show up on a personal site, I haven't done that yet because I am unbelievable busy, but it is definetely something to look into!

HIII THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE IDEA !!! i know inat and i dont really like it :,,) its also a bit problematic imo where i live because its REALLY rare to see snails outside esp in the summertime + i only saw snails one of two species in my whole life , the others are very rare :,,) but thank you so much for the idea ,, i might check it out again in the winter when there are more snails !! :D <3

Busy with new job, Pearl Fees are all grown up now so I need to update that, also lost a few elderly quail a few weeks ago. Goodbye Kombucha and Sugarcube <3<3<3 I hope they loved the life I gave them. Ordered an alligator skull, busy on iNat, and trying to be more organized. (I have all the info for my birds, lizard, and skull collection organized, but scheduling my daily tasks... still working on that.)

I don't know what your talking about, that art is stuff that I commissioned from other atists thus why I call it the Commissions Gallery, notice how all of the oc's art looks different, my art is so bad that I just don't care what they look like at all. if there is a positive for me your comment lite a fire under me to ask "hey maybe you should deal with that gallery like get the artists links in there or else?"

also the code for the Birthday/wishlist and index is from the sadgrl Layout builder so it is not even mine. like notice the words of the Patreons are just heightened, those are supposted to be links that I also was able to break some how. and so when you commented on what those two things I am assuming what you mean I finally got off my butt to do something about it, thus thank you.

Ah, sorry about that! I thought you were offering to draw for other people, and were giving examples of your work, since some if it looked like it was drawn in a similar way and I've seen other people do that. Sorry about the confusion!

it's okay, me distracting myself from not doing it is what caused the misunderstanding to begin in the first place. I should have delt with it earlier but I didn't and now I am going to have to wait for the code I just putted in to just show up on the website with the links.

Thanks for the follow! I also like ball pythons, wasps, and bats. Personally, idk why so many people hate wasps, but it may be that I have never been stung by one, so I don't have any resentment towards them? I have a friend who found a few wasp larvae in a nest that had fallen, and she ground up flies and hand fed them. She raised them to adults!

I am not sure, they were paper wasps, I am guessing not long based on the lifespan of a paper wasp.

I have been very busy, so I haven't been able to update the site in awhile. I got my first grounhog skull the other day, and have been cleaning it up, and the baby quail are all grown up now!

I still can't find out how to respond to replies on updates so I'll just comment here, thank you so much for the comments! :D And sorry I didn't see it for so long! For that specific section on behavior I was referring to rudimentary tool use, like crows. But gastroliths are also common too, and sometimes they just eat sand as well! :)

They are really quite common when you start looking for them! Would you be able to do me a favor? If you ever encounter films in your vernal pool patrols that look like iron films, but formed by bubbling to the surface of the water, would you let me know? Thank you!

This formation method means that they might not actually be iron films, but this type is quite understudied, and I originally encountered it in a vernal pool. :) If that is too much trouble though, no problem! I hope your vernal pool patrols go well! (and what a cool term, haha)

(I hope this method replies to you!) I actually just now made an account! People usually report films on iNaturalist as "Leptothrix discophora" but I've been hesitant to do the same because it's much more likely that they can form in a plethora of different ways that can't really be ascribed to one species. But I'll look into it more!

And yes you totally should make ecosphere jars! They're so fun and low-maintenence, and it's especially amazing to watch them evolve over time. My oldest one is 1.5 years and is still not done changing! Some professors I know have ones that are 15 years old..

HUGE skull collection page update, since I was lucky enough to discuss degreasing methods with a fellow hobbyist/curator. I decided to keep the outdated knowledge on the site, but to put a strikethough through everything irrelevent. This way, I can see how I myself have improved, and mistakes aren't something to be embarrased of. In the scientific world, it is good to have everything on record anyways, even mistakes.

YES!!!! I love her books so much! My mom had the whole collection, and I believe she read the stories to her students when she was a kindergarten teacher. Do you have a favorite story? Mine is the one with the caddis worms.

You know, as a French person, I personally think it is a crime that we don't seem to have any french translations. It's been a project for a while to translate them to maybe re-publish them? Idk... Also, my favourite book is by faaar Among the Meadow People, but I can't choose between the grasshoppers, the lazy snail or the tent-caterpillars!
