Hey, I was wondering how you did the code for your visual novel dreamverse pages? I've been trying to study it but I'm too stupid to figure it out ;w; I'm interested in doing something with a similar format on my own site- could you point me in the direction of some resources I could use to learn how?

hi! sorry for the late reply. at some point i made a free to use base for the scripting i did for dreamyverse, but i have no idea if people would find that useful (i coded it clunkily and haven't cleaned it up since i'm the only one using it). if there's any interest in the base code despite it being a little messy, i can try to get that ready for free use!

i coded the script in jquery, and it uses html classes to designate the bg/sprites/music upon navigation. basically it shows the next 'page' in order based on clicking next/prev, and each page has classes that designate the graphics & audio. i also used mediaelementjs for the music player so there's more options for volume and showing the song title.

won't lie to you, can't get into Pyramid Oblique at all. for my taste it's too disjointed, unharmonious? it feels like two artists are trying to make two albums at the same time. there's an obvious level of talent in your work but Pyramid Oblique specifically doesn't appeal to me. i did listen to your Tomorrowland inspo album though, and wow, super dope. "Moving These People" so far is the stand out to me.

i really dig the old style synth used, almost sounds like a Theremin, kind of gives it a unique strong sound upfront with the backing beats and sounds accompanying. it definitely works with the retro-futuristic feel of Tomorrowland itself, so honestly this album is superbly done. i'm going to give your other work a listen now as well, but just wanted to say keep up the good work!

Thank you very much! I’m well aware that some of my work is rather difficult to get into. Some stuff is made that way intentionally and some just comes out that way due to my tastes and current moods. Your kind words about the Tomorrowland work is so appreciated. It was fun to make and some of my favorite sounds I’ve come up with are on those songs. Thank you for taking time to listen and reflect!!

^^^ It basically trading card (like Yu-Gi-Oh!) but it website and you go around Neocities (or somewhere) and ask for trade some card. You build up your desk as you progress.
