i can relate with this so much, you have no idea. i've been feeling this wy for years already and it sucks. recently tho i got a purpose in my life even tho its kinda shallow but its a long way to go. you just need a goal even if its not that meaningful, i want to believe everything will fall in its own place eventually. stay strong, its worth it in the end i'm sure of it.

i've seen several sites that had made buttons for me so i decided i'd make one for myself. it's at the bottom of my main page. feel free to link it if you like. however i don't know yet if i'm going to put other buttons on my site.

wow, 10,000 views. i can't say it isn't a bit weird knowing so many people have read my journal, but i can't say it isn't nice either. thank you to everyone who has dedicated their time to reading, and hopefully understanding, my thoughts and feelings. thank you for allowing me to be more honest with you than i've ever been before. and a special thanks to those of you who have reached out over email. thank you.

anyone know why sometimes a little edit will make a new post on the feed but other times making an entire page doesn't? huh, odd.

it seems you can have only one post in the feed per day, so even if you add an entire page if it's before 24hs since your last post it just appends it to the last post you made

dont know if you saw my response to your comment on my entry last night but i wanted to thank you for your kind words. the support ive gotten for my journal has been so incredible. unfortunately when i went to like the comment i accidentally hit delete. damn touch screens. but i did read it and i appreciate it so much.

Hey of course you can "borrow" my idea, it doesn't really belong to me hehe :) it makes me well happy to see people put in the effort to make these little directories, as I think they're one of the best ways of encouraging discoveries of new sites. Love what you're doing btw. Have you read The Corrections? I'm reading it now, some of it is set in Lithuania but I think it might not be a very accurate depiction.

Cheers! Perhaps it doesn't, but I figured courtesy doesn't cost anything :) I will work the link page into my next site update. I haven't read The Corrections. It seems to have picked up some awards, but do you recommend it based on what you've read so far?

Yeah I'm really enjoying it actually! If you can see past the Lithuania stuff. It's not the only thing in the book that seems wildly unrealistic though, it's a kind of interesting blend of hyper-realism and almost-surrealism. And even though it's written in the third person there seems to be an element of "unreliable narrator".

I think it's partly to show that we can never know what other people are going through and how the world looks from their perspective, and so it's very hard to make moral judgements. The whole feel of the book is feverish. And also really bleak and hollow. It's good!

Thanks for going into detail, sounds intriguing. I'll add it to my book list. Something I heard about making judgements recently and liked: if you are judging someone, you don't understand the totality of influences that are working on them. So the book sounds like it would be my kind of thing :)
