@engelsbeginn I know why you recommended me Style Savvy Fashion Forward, it's a game with proper lolita fashion! I actually played it quite a lot, it's a fun game! I don't know much of the other games you mentioned, but I'll definitely look them up. Right now I'm playing Hotel Dusk and it's super cool, great aesthetics, I really recommend.

@angelsaremathematical Oh I will have to try that! It's not my usual style of game at all, but it does look cool! I love the Style Savvy games (and new Switch version) have lolita!! I only wish they let us do more as far as layering items.

New post/essay on the longevity and lives of hunter gatherers. It does not go into as much detail as I would like, but I am still learning. I will update and or make a part 2 sometime in the future.

Great essay. You’ve clearly put a lot of thought and research into this. One thing I think is worth mentioning, is that (if memory serves me right) early agriculturalists were thought to have lived a hybrid lifestyle, both farming and hunting/gathering. To them, it probably seemed like a good trade off because there was no “trade off.” They had the best of both worlds until the population increase.

Yes Mike I believe you are right. I believe they called them forager-horticulturalists. I may go back and expand upon that. That is actually discussed in the book "Sapiens", they did not see a tradeoff initially, it just slowly got to the point of what we know as agricultural civilization, like a frog in a boiling pot.

thanks for this, i find myself struggling wrt this a lot. i *know* that i would be more satisfied with my writing if i spent more time revising, and yet it feels hard to justify when there's so many other things to write about. i can imagine people getting really excited about a big famous writer revisiting and reediting their older work, but when i mention reediting some of my own posts i feel like "who cares?"
Really interesting thoughts! I have a master's in English and I heard throughout my education that writing is never finished, it's abandonded. You can fine-tune and edit to no end, so often you just have to put it out there. But the great thing about the internet is that you can go back and update. Of course that raises a lot of questions, which you explore here.
Also, to your point about albums, Charli XCX's BRAT remix album was described by her as a direct challenge to the idea that existing music can't be further developed.
