if you've seen my posting on bsky, my next page will most likely be dedicated to the sonic OVA and it's little bit of lore that it has, bcuz it's all beautifully shown in the OVA and I want ppl to see how much love is in this OVA/pilot :)))

Hey hey, I agree with you, there's something special about it I can't explain, I'm always thinking about how much time was put into everything, all those backgrounds aren't fillers, they spent so much time on them. You're making me want to watch the OVA again lol, I think I watched it again some time last month

@radicalblur yeah, and know the OVA was actually a pilot to pitch an entire series really makes you wonder abt everything that we lost, were the other islands developed? were there other warp zones? knuckles was exploring the sinking skyscrapers nearby meaning knuckles would've had an interesting role within the series too, it also would've been a different take on humans since they were part animal in design

I never knew it was going to be more than what came out of it and just the movie, but I've felt like it was. There's so much potenial for it, makes me wish that there was more to see. I really like the way Knuckles was in the OVA, that's a lot to think about. The way human people appeared in Sonic games over time is just confusing and kinda weird to me

@wackyworkbench At first with the games, there were just regular people and I mean Eggman/Robotnik is really mainly one of the only people? Remembering Maria and the others too. Then later I know in Unleashed that they made people look more cartoony and now people just don't really appear much at all, that there were presidents in places in Mobius, man I'm getting all caught up in this. Back to the OVA, with you thinking if the other islands were developed makes me think of the history of them and what the world was like before too. I think people with animal counterparts became a big thing in Japan? Forgot to say, kinda wish we saw more of the silly old owl guy if the series came to be

@radicalblur nekomimi/kemonomimi (animal ears) were a trend in 90s JP I noticed, but it also reminds me of archie sonic in a way how humans just naturally faded out as a species making robotnik and snivley the few humans alive, and in the OVA w/ the mountains seperating from the earth there definitely was casualties, maybe animal ppl and critters like sonic became the dominant species?

wish we also got to see more of old man owl in some continuity, it wasn't until the current movies and IDW that we got to see owl sonic characters ever again... which is also really interesting (thinking emoji)

@wackyworkbench I'm really coming back to Sonic after a long time and thinking about reading the comics and archie, I remember hearing about Snivley, I think he was really really early in the series. Thanks for telling me of that by the way, it knew it was a big thing, like a common thing I saw from in JP media. They could be? With what happened in the OVA, it makes more sense than I guess the mainline? series -

- I don't know at all but a thought I have is that part of the reason people went extinct could be badniks? That's definitely interesting though, I know there's bird Sonic characters but we never saw more of owls until that movie? Man speaking of the movies, the third one's coming out, hearing that Crush 40 is going to be in it than just some other soundtrack makes me really happy, I felt like it wouldn't happen at -

sxsgens advanced access in abt 3 hours! many reviews have already been released for the game, and everyone is saying positive things! very excited to move forward w/ the sxsgens page and add review scores, and more screenshots :)

well, I wasn't expecting today to read there being AI/genAI within neocities and its owner's manifesto... I see many ppl mirroring their websites or leaving entirely, I'm not sure what I'll do at the moment since I'll need to entirely redo the sxsgens page for the game's release soon... I'd like to hear everyone else's opinion though

i plan to stay until an official confirmation about ai being in the source code editor is actually in use and in my face annoying me. i did mirror over to nekoweb as a backup, but neocities is my home still.

It's not really a problem to me. It's his opinion and one that was made a year ago, apparently. I understand the concern but it's not enough to make me move. That said, I've been eyeballing Nekoweb for other reasons.

if I may just brainstorm out loud here, I've been wanting to make a new page, idk for what interest of mine yet, or if I want to make just a general media page... but I've been struggling, I don't want my site to be too cluttered w/ assorted media pages so then I feel I should condence the TMNT, UY pages, and Riders, SegaSonic pages together in some way... but... at the same time idk

I def want to talk abt pseudoregalia or klonoa to some degree, but is a new page worth it? or should I have a more personal page abt myself such as media or, an actual about page, despite me not really wanting one? I want to create smth new but struggle so much at the same time, or I tell myself I should finish an older page first... hmm

Hey, I struggle too sometimes, you're not alone! You should do what you like with just what sounds good to you! I really like all the pages dedicated to things you like, your TMNT page and the one dedicated to the new Sonic generations with Shadow for example, they inspire me a lot

@ajazz I really enjoy the randomizer! the game is still beatable with random elements and you can choose what specifically is randomized like abilities, and spawn, I'll have to spend more time w/ it but I've heard from other ppl that they get hours of more playtime out of pseudoregalia bcuz of it :D

@maddoxxing everyone was really really hoping for mephiles to return for shadow's campaign and I'm really glad it's actually true! slowly SEGA is warming up to and exploring their old stuff again regardless of how to was received at the time bcuz mephiles is actually rly rly cool
