if anyone here is into pixel art dolls, what is the difference between "adopting" and "putting in a graphics collection?" I see a lot of sites that say "adoption only, do not put on graphics collection pages" and I don't understand what the difference is. I'm interested in putting some of them on my site (with credit) but I don't want to disrespect the artist.

A graphics collection is, like, a dump of graphics for other people to use. Think of when people post random stuff to Tumblr or whatever under "#old web graphics" or whatever. The key is that redistribution is no good.
How am I meant to display them exactly then?
With credit and ensuring nobody thinks you made them yourself.
