Thank you for following my website and I hope that you continue to enjoy the quikscript alphabet.

I wouldn't have found it without stumbling across your site! I use Elian in my own journal, and quikscript looks like a useful addition for me. Alternate alphabets are neat.

For whatever reason, Neocities isn't letting me comment on seemingly random profiles. I've confirmed it's not caused by blocking- I reached out to a site and checked on that since I was fairly sure I wasn't blocked. Unsure why this is happening.

Asked around and apparently being blocked by a few people might be enough for Neocities to do this to you on profiles that don't follow you back? I guess some folks must have blocked me. Wild that there's enough of them for this to happen, and good on them for exercising their right to view the web how they prefer to.

Regardless, I can't comment on a lot of profiles now. If someone isn't following me, then I can't leave a comment on their Neocities profile at all. Others should still be able to comment on mine. If anything happens to prevent that, then my guestbook can be found on my buttons page, and email is always a solid option- feel free to email me on a whim! Owl photos get bonus points.

you can allow or disallow all comments on a profile as a site owner. are we sure this isn't about that?

Neocities isn't letting me reply on accessiblenet, so I'm responding here re:Javascript; I know some folks turn it off because Javascript is often used in privacy-violating ways on the corporate web. User experience and performance are another reason: https://www.wired.com/2015/11/i-turned-off-javascript-for-a-whole-week-and-it-was-glorious/

Hey owlroost, this is scopefilter's other site. Your site design is so relaxing to look at.

Thank you! It's shifted a lot over the last two years, but I'm pretty happy with it at the moment.

Hi owlroost, thank you for following. I know there isn't a lot on my site right now but I'm hoping to fix that in future. Your reader mode page was very informative, I actually wasn't aware the article tag was used to tell browsers reader mode was available and now I think a future update for my blog is to add tags. So thank you for writing that. 😇

I'm glad I was able to help! I really appreciated your site when I stumbled across it. It's very rare that a site doesn't overwhelm me to some degree, and yours actually feels comfortable (largely because as it says, it's not visually noisy; everything there has a purpose, and there's ample space to breathe). I'd say you succeeded at making it easy to follow!

I'm glad I could help a bit! I have a ton of links and tidbits in another article about accessibility if you'd like some more to think about. https://owlsroost.xyz/articles/tech/accessibility.html

Augh, just noticed that the style reorganization screwed with Neocities. Just uploaded to fix that in addition to today's new articles. Fingers crossed.

I really love the subtle text-shadow effect on your headings. Your whole site's design is pleasing to me (I can actually read it!), but that little shadow is the cherry on top.
