Hey cool site! I read your first blog post and it really resonated with me. An html website is like a blank canvas for your creativity compared to all the social network platforms you (and I) have been a part of. I followed you because I want to take the time to read your other posts. Also cool to see your artwork summary from childhood up until now! Keep it up!

Saw your post on a 1 month retrospective- there are a few ways to reduce the tedium of updating the same thing on every page without relying on external tools. iFrames and Javascript are the most relevant for Neocities, but I did write a page on it if you're curious. https://owlsroost.xyz/articles/2023-12-23-reducing-html-redundancy.html

Static site generators can also help with it a lot, as can scripting. Those require that you edit the site on your local computer, then upload the files to Neocities (there are ways to automate that part!).

Your "Why Neocities?" blog post really resonated with me. It sounds like we had very similar experiences growing up on the internet and watching things shift toward shorter and shorter content. Best of luck as you build your site!

Thank you! I feel like in the past what held me back from trying this sooner is domain costs, and my low HTML skills. But coming across neocities changed that, and I'm so thankful to find others feel the same way. I don't currently have RSS set up yet, but I hope you'll enjoy the blog and art!
