Loved your adoptables! I'm also a big moomin and snufkin fan.

I'm very interested in the cold linking you implemented on Homepages since I have a shrine page that has hundreds of links, which I'd like to load more quickly. If it's not too much trouble, could you please point me to where I could learn more about how to implement this myself (keywords to search for works too--my initial searches didn't turn up anything)? Thanks!

Heh! That's just something I made up as a riff on 'hotlinking'. I'm doing the opposite of that - hosting all the images under my site space - so the links are 'cold'.

New blog post on how to make a salad and salad dressing because I was never taught formulas for how to make these well, and it's about time I learn.

Ooh! So many pet sites I hadn't heard of! I'm curious, what do you think of clones of older Neopets (such as Modern Neopets or Neopets Classic)?

I actually just got accepted into ModernNeopets when they recently opened registration! The quality of life improvements throughout (including small things like just having a button for deposit all neopoints) are so nice. I'm not as attached to it because it doesn't have the 19 years worth of history that my original neopets account has, but I'm still enjoying it and playing both modern and classic at the moment :)

Oh, nice!! I love MN but haven't been there in a while... I'm really happy with all the custom/callback species, eheh (especially Tatsus).

added links to my RSS feed for my sporadic blog posts: https://lostletters.neocities.org/feed.xml

hi! do you know if there's still anything like the q*bee around today? i saw your page about it and i think it's so cool, and it inspired me to try making some little pixel quilt patches myself based on a real quilt i made a few months ago! i posted it here :^) https://hillhouse.neocities.org/toybox.html thanks so much for the inspiration!

Wow, your patch is gorgeous! I'm sure your real life quilt is just as stunning. In the process of researching for my shrine, I actually got in contact with the former Queen Bees. There is interest in starting the club up again, but there aren't actual plans to do so at the moment. In terms of active pixel art communities, I've only come across Pixel Dailies on Discord, but it's much more open ended than the q*bee.

I started the Afternoon Tea Pixel Club (https://lostletters.neocities.org/afternoontea/), but it's more like a pixel clique than a full-blown q*bee site. If a low-key club like that is more your style, there's also https://stickersheetclub.neocities.org/ & https://cinni.net/shoppe.html & https://keysklubhouse.gay/teenytowers.html

I spent way too much time writing a summary/guide to various pixel art virtual pets sites with tips I wish I knew before starting (and accidentally killing four dragons RIP 😭) in case anyone else wants to start collecting fun virtual pets too πŸ₯šπŸ£πŸ‰ https://lostletters.neocities.org/2022/11/25/virtual-pets.html
