there is another (visually better) version of this that has a scrollbar for the word area, but getting everything to behave with drag/drop when the div has a scrollbar is a nightmare. if anyone is good with javascript and wants to help me, feel free to msg me at daintyeco at proton.me!
This is AMAZING! My only feedback would be to change "poly" to "polyam." Here's an article that discusses the issue: https://aidamanduley.com/stop-saying-poly-when-you-mean-polyamorous/
@space-bar thank you for the feedback! I thought about this issue while creating and I was conflicted between offering poly and polyam, or just one. I opted for just poly, and added "amorous" "romantic" and "sexual" as other words so people could create different variations with poly as a prefix :),
This is such an awesome submission. Thanks for giving the terms such deep consideration! :D
thank you all so far for the sweet feedback <3 added a few more words and an example section
this is SO COOL! i had so much fun and even made a little poem myself ! the ability to add words was really nice, but so is the self imposed limitation you offer. overall such a fun experience, thank you!
This turned out so great! I also made a drag/drop interface for my submission, and I feel you on the challenges associated with it/JavaScript π
this is my own start page (what the browser opens to and/or new tabs open to) made with decker.
me: ah yes everything works in the brackets preview, upload. neocities: what's .JPG? i only know .jpg :)
wait re: the JPG thing i've had the same exact experience!!! so frustrating!!!!! (but anyway the page looks GREAT!)
The castle is looking amazing! How did you find out about this model/the company? It sounds like such a fun long term project.
@lostletters i like to watch toybrick content on youtube and that's how i found it! the company also has a few physical store locationsa little while away from me :)
oh no!!!! thanks for letting me know ava - i'll just put in my ID then! serves me right trying to be fancy with a discord link lmao
I think it could be a more elegant way for the website design select, but also I find splash screens annoying 50% of the time, especially as a repeat visitor, so I would love to know what you think
I think they're critical for sites that should have CWs, especially accessibility concerns like auto-playing sound, blinking, and animation. I think it's redundant for sites that aren't mobile-friendly since that's obvious. I thought about creating one to display my 88x31 buttons that represent my values, but I settled on a flex box solution that I'm happy with.
I think they're fun, especially if you have a unique page doll or other design to introduce the site! Theyre also definitely useful for options and warnings when needed too
Iβm definitely checking out your books list! Do you recommend reading The Dispossessed as a stand alone or should I start at the beginning of the series?
@lostletters (where has the reply button gone..?) You can read it as a standalone definitely! While the Hainish Cycle consists of multiple books, they're separate stories you can read in any order or incompletely :) The Left Hand of Darkness will be my next one to read
i love the photos of your island!! super fun to look through!! and i too hate repetitive villager dialogue sigh...
@meixins thank you :) you also have acnh right? if yes i'm looking forward to seeing pics of ur island!
Aw, my gosh- thank you so much!! Really happy you enjoyed my corner so much :']
"i study this for fun" i said, "no pressure". now i'm too emotionally invested in my amazing GPA to let a lazy semester ruin it
