well THAT was the easiest thing ever. attn: any former windows users who switched to linux mint who have great caches of software on CD-ROM: mint can make ISO copies of those for you without any special software. it just does it natively. (EDIT: hello post limit, my old friend)

currently trying to dump a cd-rom to iso using linux mint. it's copy protected so probably it won't work, but this is for science.

Wait... it WORKED?? Well, it worked with 007 NightFire (Eurocom, 2002) anyway. Now let's see if it works with The Sims Complete Collection (Maxis, 2005).
also, please be aware that i'm talking about backing up my own software that I already have disc copies of for my own archival efforts. i have no plans to release these anywhere.
