i am beyond pissed off at the amazing digital circus fandom rn. every show has main characters and like, if you couldnt tell that pomni and jax were adc's main characters by now, you werent paying attention. but you lot gotta get up in gooseworx' business about it just like how the crewniverse got forced off tumblr, and we may never get episode 8 now. great job. fuck yourselves.
there's a reason why "courage the cowardly dog" wasnt called "eustace the grumpy old farmer". but if that show was still in production, youd get up in dil's face about that too.
Little bit ago on a stream Gooseworx, creator of Glitchbots and The Amazing Digital Circus, mentioned that Jax and Pomni are the main characters of the show pretty much. A lot of people did not take kindly to that. Goose in her frustration said something to the tune of "I would never want to touch this series again with a 10 foot pole" after the backlash and that got even more people upset.
Goose deleted her reddit account shortly after. She also posted an apology on Bluesky, but took it down later. The last thing I saw was her blaming herself, stating she's just been busy and other factors were the cause of her response to the backlash.
Although, I see mention that the ' 10 foot pole' comment was a response to someone asking "What will you do after the season finishes?". It's all a little murky here and there, but this is roughly what happened. I don't have a twitter or reddit account to really deepdive into lost posts and get anything more substantial.
I follow Goose on tumblr and I know I've seen her mention a few regrets about TADC (mostly related to the brain rot kids stuff on youtube). Watching creators grow to hate their art because of the audience honestly hurts to watch and I see it happen so often

Correction, it was not Glitchbots, I mixed up some stuff. It's Glitch Productions which also make shows like Murder Drones and Knights of Guinevere.
