yt doesnt record viewing data from frontends, but it's less about following the boycott to the letter and more about the principle of it. yt is yt regardless of how you watch it.
same with reddit, especially with the decline in forums and increase in AI/SEO slop sites. it's hard to find human discussions and answers elsewhere, even with reddit's rampant bot problem

Exactly.. I like a ton of obscure crap, & I'm not sure where to watch it outside of YouTube. Like everything's there.
