i am so sick of ai integration. im so sick of companies doubling down on ai integration. im sick of people who just throw their hands in the air and go "welp nothin i can do, better just use it an be happy about it" or "hey cool now i never need to use my brain for anything ever again". i've been saying this for 3 years, i have nothing original to say anymore.

you search for something, the results are ai. you shop online, the product descriptions and half the reviews are ai. you play a videogame, the visual assets and voice acting are ai. you shop for a new phone, every model has ai integration. you apply for a job, you get interviewed by a chatbot. you ring up the pharmacy to refill your meds, the voices are ai.

you drive down the street, your car gets documented by an ai powered number plate scanner. you download videos from the internet archive, "1080p genAI upscaled version". you go out to eat, the kiosk is ai. you scroll through social media, half the posts are ai. you post on social media, you train the ai models. you put your original art onto your website, the host uses it to train midjourney.

this shit is making my job a million times more elaborate than it needs to be - editing isnt even fun anymore its just fucking annoying. i know your ass didnt write that. i know your ass didnt even proof read that. whats the point in me giving any time to it.

I work with documentation and I review a lot of people's stuff and I'm like, this doesn't even follow the most basic accessibility structure. everyone at my department got 6 hours of training, and now they just use AI and don't even check it. "co-pilot said it was accessible" Cool but you didn't put any headings here and that's the literal most basic thing that you could do for accessibility.
