i just looked through your whole webpage & wow is it cool! i especially like the different themes, and the accessibility (playing/pausing gifs is such a cool and necessary feature). i also loooved the kitten images, those smol bbs looked like rats! /positive. plus the gif page is something i could stare at forever.......... :)

That text hover highlight effect you use throughout your site is a great touch and really helps tracking which paragraph one is currently one. That's a smart idea and inspires me to maybe use things like that somewhere on my own site someday. Anyway, I added you to my follows. Have a wonderful day/night!

hi, i saw your dark/light theme tutorial and it was very useful!! (going to add to my list of resources when i can) i note that you said "have to be defined as a valid color" about variables - not to ask a question thats probably obvious, but is there a way to make a var for a background image? i know the @media would probably work in this case but im just curious really. once again thank you so much for the guide !!

oh yes variables don't have to just be colors! I just meant a color had to be a valid color name. if you want to use an image you can do something like:

:root { --bg: url(cat.png);)} and then u can use var(--bg) anywhere you could put an image

very pretty site and I like the goal you have for it! you're right that a lot of neocities sites focus more on graphics than contents, and while I don't think that's inherently bad, it will be nice to see more sites that have both considerable content And cool designs :3
