Thank you! I have been planning for a while to add an article to the Monet and Jiha Moon piece so all of the pieces can have my thoughts attached to them. However, school has started so I will have a lot less time to do major updates to my site ;( So I hope so but school...

Also, I just remembered i complete the Art Storage Locker page just a couple days ago. That features an exhibition that happened in my city which featured some of my work. A really fun show that took place in a storage locker.

Does anyone think I should do a special page for 100 followers for reviewing Initial D, starting with First Stage through Final Stage of the anime, the New films, the live-action adaptation, the manga (including buying guide) and (possibly) one of the Arcade stage games? This would also be a setup for a review of MF Ghost next year too.

sorry for being so negative last night. it's just that i'm BARELY starting to realize that my parents are terrible people. i've known for a long time that they were my abusers, but i never went as far as to say that they are just bad people.

like i gave them so many chances & rationalized their behavior in various different ways. i even told myself that it was my DUTY as their child to take care of them. but honestly, they don't deserve that. they're so bigoted & horrible

i can't imagine coming out to them as trans. their opinion of trans people is so shockingly low despite the fact that they don't engage with trans people on a daily basis

Am I the only person who did not see the appeal of "My Dress-up Darling"? I mainly say this because one of the foreign language titles turned me off (title was "Sexy Cosplay Doll").

I haven’t watched/read it yet, but according to the many reviews I’ve seen about it, the foreign titles as you said and constant fan service seem to be the only issues, and these are the only reasons why I probably won’t be giving it a watch

Watched it, it was nice but not something I'd rewatch and didn't leave an impact on me. A nice thing I can say about it is that it's an extremely rare anime where the relationship between the protagonists feels completely believable.

Marin falls in love with Gojo later, after they've spent ample time together. They have common interests. Gojo respects her and wants to do such a good job on her costume he studiously plays the H-game that Marin's cosplay comes from, and ends up really liking the story and being able to talk to her about it! Marin genuinely respects him for his unconventional passion, crafting traditional Japanese dolls.

These are believable people with a believable, mutual romance (not better than Toradora, though). By contrast most characters FOTM romance anime (to me at least) have like, 0 chemistry and the romance feels fake and arbitrary. Like author wish fulfillment, "hot girl repeatedly throws herself at awkward loser boy for no discernible reason".

being trans—at least in my experience—means loving oneself & one's world to such an extent that one would rather be hated by all the world than convert. i think this is what the contemporary trans community has in common with the early Christians

I’m not trans, I’m gay, and I wholeheartedly agree. It took me a very long time, but finally I’ve recently come to actually like the fact that I’m gay after years and years of wishing I wasn’t, and then accepting it with neutrality. I’m 26 now and only maybe a year ago did I come to the place where I wouldn’t change things given the opportunity.

The early Christians, the christians living under Tokugawa Ieyasu, many Muslims in the world today, pretty much any religious person in North Korea, all love their god enough that all the hate in the world couldn’t sway them and that’s a beautiful thing. I love my god as much too, but I finally also love myself enough to say the same.

all of the things my parents have said about queer people hurt me so bad now. even before discovering i was trans/enby their words hurt. but now they feel like being stabbed over & over again

sorry, i've been making many, many realizations about my past relationships these past few days. i think Providence allowed me to become trans so that i could, finally, love myself for who i am. but this form of intense self-love involves some temporary, immediate pain. that usually takes the form of abandoning destructive friendships & reevaluating my relationship with my parents

I've tried humanizing & empathizing with my parents my whole life (bc they literally made me to be this way), but thinking about all of the ridiculous statements they've made makes it really hard to be compassionate torwards them. In fact, I would rather be anywhere else than with them

Thanks! My favorite anime right now is probably a show called PriPara (which I eventually plan on having a shrine to)... although funnily enough I've actually watching Cowboy Bebop for the very first time recently!

Outside of Clannad and Full Metal Panic, what is the appeal of Kyoto Animation? After having seen some of Dragon Maid, Kanon and Haruhi Suzumiya, and honestly, I don't see them as the masterpieces everyone calls them.
