Neocities ate my reply so here goes again. relax,, pretend its a game! - wee games have sure changed since then. i still see the Boss/bad guy(the one always eating pizza or whatever) in movies here an there :D

Usually it posts just fine but here lately its been being weird with not posting an ive heard of some people trying to save their progress an it act like its saving it but it doesnt x_x

ZEE were a synthpop/Techno duo from the mid 1980s and are generally quite obscure they only did one album, which is called ''Identity'', and it was nevsr released in the USA from what i know of, ZEE pages are about the duo. i absolutely loved Identity.

It really is a shame that something so old school isnt a option on Neocities an to have to use a old as dirt version of any browser to achive being able to play something so simple is just plane silly.

you know what tiny, i cannot get neocities to work on the PSP webbrowser, which is a shame, because sicklycarpet would look good on the sony PSP

Back in the summer of 2014, Chrome and Firefox still were set up to play midi files. Then, for a very brief time Firefox would play midis, but only if you had Quicktime installed). They don't anymore, at least not that I've found, and I tried a lot of ways of embedding midis back then. It's a shame too. They really need to bring that ability back.

I used to have several webpages that i added mid files back in the day. i remember you could have the player totally hidden or have it displayed on your page somewhere,, you could even change the size of the player to what you wanted with coding. or you could just have it display the play/pause button. those were the days. i'll give this Java thingy a try. an im glad im not the only one trying to figure this out :)

i did do something on one of my ZEE pages before i signed to neocities, which played tiny, grainy .WAV or .AU files, these were 8bit mono and about 8000khz in effort to replicate the mark1 CMI music computer of the late 70's, i am not sure if i deleted my effort in rage when i found that free neocities accounts do not allow .WAV uploads.

I think firefox should have an extension for midi, i have to use an older version of fox, 'cos i use the unsupported XP OS. I don't know about chrome though.

Yeah, that's actually my only "gripe" about Neocities, is that you can't upload wav files with a free account. Seems like yu should be able to since both midi and wav files are part of "old school" website development.

thanks for clearing the spinball thing up tinypaws, i do know the USA version of sonic CD for sega CD can be put in a music CD player and and you can listen to the music! (but skip track1, cause that stores graphics code.) Sonic boom!!!

Youre most welcome :) the Sonic games were jam back in the day an to learn something new was fun. but i feel i have majorly missed out on this as the only disk ive tried this with was Tomb Raider an was surprised to find my PCs ROM would play the music. dat Sonic Boom song though... im not sure if i like it yet or not sadly LOL

not a problem, yeah apparently it was called the sega genesis in the USA because a floppy disk company had copyrighted the name ''megadrive'' in the USA patent system or something like that, so sega could not use it there. apparently the USA version of sonic spinball on the megadrive/genesis has different music from the UK one, but i'm not sure on the truth this. but yeah, megadrive/genesis, same system.

Thats so intresting an explains the difference in the console names. i'll have to see if i can find some Spinball music for both an see if theres a difference. so far theres no difference between Megadrive/Genesis Sonic 1 2 an 3 music wise though

I hope i don't misunderstand what you are saying here, Genesis and Megadrive sonic games i think are the same thing, I live in the UK, and the Genesis was called the Megadrive there, do you live in the USA or canada by any chance?

The cartridge music always rocked in sonic games, especially sonic2! grainy, synthy artificial goodness.

Oh that makes so much more sense now! i live in the USA an was confusing that Megadrive stuff was maybe remastered Sonic games but with differences here an there(like new levles an soundtracks). my bad LOL

I would not say that i am a fan as such of sonic cd, i had the PC version, which had a soundtrack i liked more than the mega CD edition, i think my favorite sonic game would be either the first megadrive sonic, or the much maligned sonic 3D on megadrive. but that is not saying that sonic CD is not a great game still!

Whats the difference between megadrive sonic an the original Genesis Sonic The Hedgehog games? - an i know what you mean. the orginal games just had more... well more of everything compaired to the newer Sonic CD game

Sorry for my even later reply! (: i downloaded your button, it is a little bit big, i used a ''Resampler'' and i have shrunk it to 88x20, and it does'nt look any worse, do you mind if i use my resampled version for my cult page? i won't use it until i have your full agreement on this.

Oh, Thankyou very much! it has alot to do with one of the pages of my site, it usually refers to carpets that are colourful and often with intricate patterns and designs, the sort that were popular in the 60's 70's and 80's. when I was child we had one in the upstairs hallway, a photo of that is on my site and i always found it very inspiring.
