i've also been thinking about making a page about my body mods/my personal body modification philosophy. not sure how to do it best because i do think my tattoos and piercing set up are really beautiful and important to me spiritually but also ,like, general wariness of images of my self online. i've been having a lot of conversations with friends these days about body modifcation as a self care practice, and art,...

...expression of self, displaying both ownership and release of body so would like to make a little web thing for it. probably will not do images of myself directly but might scan some of my tattoos like i did once before, even if just to showcase some of the beautiful art i've been given. touched on this in blog, but tis that time of year again when i feel weird about who i am so i must get another tattoo.

which. is maybe not the greatest coping mechanism but also. we are all expending energy trying to translate our selves into someting that is receivable to other people, and this is just one way that happens to be beautiful and freeing. something something bodies are prisons/palaces/temples/shrines/homes/vessels/mirrors/windows.

but also sometimes articulating my philosophy i think comes off as shallow because a) i dont even have very many body mods or anything crazy and b) obviously we are all more than our bodies blah blah. wow this was a lot ! sometimes you just have to release the thought to the void i guess, but i've definitely run out of comments now :p
