If you find yourself in scrolling limbo and are having a hard time getting out of it for whatever reason, literally just yeet your phone away from yourself. Preferably somewhere soft so it doesnt crack lol. It'll force you to get up and move and even if you dont wanna get up still, at least you wont be rotting your brain with scrolling. Idk if this is helpful for you but I thought it's a good tip for some people

This may be surprising but I don't actually have a smartphone kek. But yer right, the dreaded smartphone is a major vector for scrolling.

Hello everyone! Instead of sending an annoying announcement email about this, I figure it should be enough to update you all on what's happening here? It doesn't exactly affect existing members, at least not yet. As of today, the form for the webring is paused to make way for an overhaul both in style, backend, and overall improvement.

The only reason this may be relevant to an existing member is the backend requires some file restructure... I didn't know what I was doing when I first made it and now it's kind of a mess. There's a good chance everyone will have to update their code and it'll be necessary for me to email as many people as possible to let them know that. Sorry in advance for the annoyance but it'll be good for the ring and

make it much more 'professional!' Not that that's much of a worry but I'd like to tidy it up and look a lot less amateur, especially since there's been a surprisingly somewhat steady stream of people coming into the ring. I want to be better at managing it. Thank you!!

My application to YearUp got rejected... They said in their letter that I was among a strong group of candidates but Idk if that's true or if they send that line to all rejects.

They do say that applicants are encouraged to get in touch with their interviewer and re-apply, they do have limlited slots so they can't accept *everyone* so maybe I'll do that but Idk. gosh this sucks

one of my biggest pet peeves with Neocities is how inconsistently HTML files pair to their CSS files. Multiple times during my coding, the HTML and CSS become unpaired and I have to change the name of the CSS to force a reconnection. This makes edits annoying because I need to change the name on EVERY HTML file. I worked around this by giving each HTML a dedicated CSS file (abhorrent, I know, but necessary.)

This has created a new problem when I edit something that I want to take effect site-wide, I now have to go through and implement the code into EVERY CSS file. So either way, I have to constantly edit every single page all because Neocities can't update the CSS and HTML. Ugh.
