feeeeel you bigtime on the january entry's junk-having bit both physically and digitally... ive not managed to figure out a healthy pace for my going through the bunch of files i have - which is probs less than some people may have (have already been pruning here n there), but still!!

@sneekrealm - yeah!!! it's like, for some reason the digital files weigh even more on me than the physical ones, because at least you can see the bulk of the physical stuff and get an idea of how much it actually is...

@oopsiedoodle - my recent move was really confrontational for that reason lol. it doesn't help that i get attached to stuff so easily! but at least i'm glad to know i'm not the only one who struggles with this lol

hi all, i caved and put the elements i reuse on every page (nav bar and footer) in a js file. is that common practice? i want to keep the site as simple as possible, but it becomes time consuming if i have to paste one small change on 15+ pages lol

That is common practice! There is the fundamental principle DRY - Don't Repeat Yourself.

This morning, we've been implementing/fixing Help files in w99, and using a js function to inject styles into all of them (different formats, imported differently from w98 .hlp and .chf). It makes everything much easier :)
