It is apparent that when I paint with watercolours, I need guidelines to know where the paint should go... Perhaps I can fix it when it's dried with a bit of smudge-proof fine-liner.

Ok, this new laptop has got to be one of the worst computers I've ever had. There isn't enough storage on it for anything, and I've hardly saved any files on it. How can they get away with selling such a rubbish machine?

One thing I've noticed since getting this computer because it's a smaller screen than the other is the amount of space websites waste through huge banners at the top of the page, huge spaces between site elements and huge pictures and writing so much so that you can't actually see it on the page or have the webpage functional. These designers really need to go back to design school.

I think finally, when it is far too late to do anything about it that nature and the environment is being taken seriously. It's so sad. The reason why I say this is because the Open University have a separate category for Nature and Environmental subjects from science which it used to be a part of. people put into studying courses like these (and the same applies to Coursea) is that with them being 'free' you don't get a qualification from it, so therefore you don't get recognition for studying things at a university level. Sure, it's OK for personal interest, and a study aid for those wanting to study the subject professionally, but I find it profoundly sad that money is used as a barrier to prevent people's

I've not really made any buttons for the site for a long while because I was sharing my old computer and haven't really got around to making any on the new computer. Only had it a couple of weeks and there are lots of things I need to catch up on.

A lot of people wish that they had tons of money so that they can have a luxurious life style - I wish that was the case for me so that I could study all the various subjects that I am interested in so that I wouldn't have to rely on sites like coursea.

I have resumed study for the courses on Egyptology on coursera. I took a break from them over the summer because the temperature was really affecting my ability to concentrate and having a new computer is helping too, because I can now fly through the work a lot better. It is an amazingly rich culture and I don't think that the course does it justice because there is a rich history there in many aspects.

Was reading a review of the new Dune film on the BBC website. For once, a sci-fi film gets a good review. Problem? The reviewer has a go at people watching it on TV or computer/tablet. Really? We are in the middle of a deadly pandemic and this guy moans about that? I'm sure that most people would like to see it at the cinema, but I'd rather people be safe. That's more important right now rather then how you choose to

Didn't expect them to be absolutely brilliant, but I would have expected more for my money than what I got regarding those exercise books. I expected them to be more like those you got in school in the 80's and 90's and be double the thickness that they are. 24 sheets of paper is a rip off. There are 5 of them, but I would have expected something more substantial since books we were given then were much thicker.

I've seen people on youtube complain that the Winsor and Newton watercolours aren't pigmented enough - I quite like the muted, pale colours - they are what a watercolour is supposed to be. If you do landscapes, muted, pale colours are what you want in the painting.
