Slides and backup audio I recorded on my phone are up. Video, with better quality audio, will be up once I get it compressed. Album reaction part will be coming tomorrow once I give my throat a break.

Also, uh, out of curiosity, how many of you actually watch / listen to my audio + video stuff? I can never tell if folks are actually reading my site updates vs. just liking them on the feed.

Video is up on PeerTube and embedded from there until I can get it small enough for Catbox. It's still transcoding, so I don't know when it'll be ready to watch. PT tends to be slow with MKV output from OBS.

Video embed is up on the page. I had to compress the shit out of it so it fit on Catbox, so go to PeerTube if you want remotely decent quality.

OK, thanks for the input. And yeah, that makes sense. I get why the comment limit exists, but it's kind of annoying sometimes, esp. since I do "live" updates in comments and tend to be wordy.

Good news: OBS worked. Bad news: I ended up talking about I See Stars and how they're a microcosm for other scene history topics for an hour and 15 minutes straight, so I'm gonna give my throat a break and record the album reaction tomorrow. Webinar / first part will go up on /musicscene/podcast and PeerTube tonight.

this is a really specific problem but i genuinely dk what to do, i cant see any of the photos on my site that are from catbox on ANY devices in my house or any web browsers but apparently they work for everyone else T_T im losing it

thats so weird. does it work on ur devices outside of your house? idk if that would even be helpful to test out

i feel 30 countries might be an exaggeration lol. the faq section on their site does state that such cases do exist (depends not only on country but also internet provider or smth read abt it here: https://catbox.moe/faq.php ) but iirc it only extends to the site itself in alot of cases

thonk ... question for ppl, is there a way to have the 'external link' symbol for only outgoing links, or do you guys like ... make a class to tag just those links as outgoing and it adds a symbol at the end? (ex. ::after class). it's mostly since i wanna toggle what links are external

as long as all your internal links have relative paths, a[href^="http"]::after { content: 'your symbol'; } should style external links without having to add a class every time!

I'm probably going to do the song-reactions part on my phone, since NewPipe is faster to load and better at playlists than FreeTube. I will try to do the webinar on OBS, but I'm still not sure if it's healthy. I will be simultaneously recording audio on my phone, so if OBS glitches out, I'll upload the webinar audio and the slides separately. That way I don't have to break my flow to re-record.

Having my yearly itch to totally re-do my site... Except last time I re-did it was the start of the year... I want to give it a more "late part of the year" theme anyway... [I'd still keep with the overall KKPP theme though for the pain pages/colors]
