For people I see this i ask, do you really care about the social media aspects of neocities? I'm have nothing truly against neocities but I think I value smaller interactions on say a guestbook or email more, rather than comments or follows on this admittedly shoddy feed interface.

i personally dont mind the feed and comments, but the followers thing is something i kinda dislike. its a nice way to keep track of sites you like, but at the same time, it very easily brings in drama, toxicity, and a bunch of other ugly stuff

yeah, i do like following sites i enjoy as like, a suped up rss feed, but all the other stuff that comes with a follow system is what makes it bleh for me.

all the buttons on the homepage were slowing the site down so i moved my full button collection to the gallery and all the cool sites' buttons to the Links page. also added contact info so feel free to use that!

btw holy crap my entire feed was full of internet drama over federifederi today. decided to unfollow cuz i wanna come here to have a good time, not to have to deal with the kinda internet drama you get on other social media. also some of their recent decisions rubbed me the wrong way.

regardless, i'm grateful to federi as they showed up around when i started and i found a bunch of cool people and sites through there. in retrospect i don't think a centralized hub was the best idea but lets not stop supporting eachother and exploring new websites regardless of follows or views! thanks to everyone whose helped me and interacted with me here so far!

The link hub looks great! Honored to be on the first row. I think your monthly youtube playlist is such a great idea. It's like releasing a monthly mixtape of the youtube vids you enjoyed. I might steel this idea from you.

If anyone knows how to fix this let me know! I can't embed status.cafe statuses to my site because of a Content-Security-Policy preventing it. I heard it's a thing for more recent sites but I see sites even more recent than me being able to embed status.cafe. Anyone dealt with something like this?

Thanks! The Dreamcast PC stuff is probably one of my favorite posts that I've done so far. I think it's so cool that Sega left goodies onto their game discs for people to find.
