agree, being on neocities isn’t about gaining followers fast, but I need more visits and followers to gain more sales bc my site is basically promoting my shop
hi!! my motivation really comes and goes for this site, but my biggest piece of advice is really just to pace yourself. take your pages slow and remember to take breaks. this is the easiest way to combat burnout for me ^_^
okay and as for gaining followers (which ancientcrypt is right, usually that's not the point) but i understand that your website is your shop, so I would treat it just as a business. if you're off of social media that's going to be a little more difficult in my opinion, but definitely still doable. making a small update to your site everyday puts it in "global activity" everyday, which helps with people seeing (1)
your site everyday. also join webrings, cliques, fanlistings, etc. and make friends! that's my biggest piece of advice. you ARE on neocities (which we like to believe is way different than social media, but it's not, really -- besides just being on the indie web). if you're passionate about what you're doing, people will follow.
