i run a homeserver (and webserver) but still use this site for a little bit of html, css and js for the nostalgia and connecting with others. how about you all? :)
I really needed to connect with others! But also grievances with large social media companies. Im excited to learn more about hosting and servers bc the web is so friggin cool
Not only was I in a rut creatively but was also dealing with stalking online for months ( an unfortunate result of trusting someone too much on discord LOL eventually had to delete some of my social media accs). I felt stagnant, paranoid, and defeated. I came across a Neocities website and plunged into the indie web rabbit hole and I felt immediately enamored!!
Since the creation of my silly site I found not only a healthy outlet but also a sense of control on my presence online again :)) Got to meet genuinely cool people along the way, like-minded individuals. So happy to be here!

I've wanted to run my own home server forever, but i just have a local web server up, to code and design my layouts, before I upload to neocities.
