we are all at the mercy of the overlords at the end of the day lol. bandcamp is nice enough as it allows downloads and has a "large enough" small user base that can help with discovery (collections, tags). unfortunately its still tiny.Never could get into spotify either myself, i've been nurturing the same music collection since i was in high school. it's been with me through like 8 computers at this point! but yeah
you let music collections travel through computers??? i lost two laptops and started over again my current collection is 15 GB, with full quality MVs, all in a password-protected .ZIP lmao
Oh Yeah. I'm kind of a digital hoarder plus some of my music is local stuff i listened to as a teen, things i like that arent on Spotify. Currently I'm at 44k files / 134GB. at one point i went hunting for any mp3's i DID have, got their flac, then converted everything to OPUS so i could keep it all on the **cloud**
