i made kind of an embarrassing error in the figures. i multiplied 1.35x365, where i should only have done 1.35x12. i hate figures, i absolutely hate figures. numbers mock me as they spin around and change position on the page.

im gonna have to stop linking to floodgap's gopher proxy. thats all there is to it. ai scrapers have been monopolising the site's bandwidth there pretty much solid state for 2 months, no human person can get on there to read anything.

understand: using floodgap to scrape gopherspace is like using an eyedropper to fill a swimming pool. but since its the only GPT-facing access point to gopherspace (idk maybe theres another 1 but prolly no more than that) the scrapers will absolutely suck floodgap dry.

the only thing i did to the computer guide was i discovered the page title for part 7 was wrong, so i fixed it. still looking for a linux workalike of MS WordPad (don't say libreoffice)

apparently, wine provides wordpad by default .o. so if one runs wine on linux to run some windows stuff already, they can just "wine wordpad" and it should work? but yea i fear there's no widely known linux rich text editor exactly of the wordpad niche

the last time i installed wine it didn't work so ive been reluctant to give it another go. it feels like cheating though... just running wine's version of wordpad. oh well, whatever works ig.

here's the situation: itch.io caved to pressure from mastercard and its fascist flunkies, and im not making but a couple album sales every 3 or so months. should i just shut down my itch.io account?

gotta love how the choice for independent composers is between a company that is being forced at knifepoint to hate queer people (itch) or a company whose parent is most likely training their generative AI on everyone's work (bandcamp).
