Basically, Tumblr is rolling out a Dashboard change that makes the site look like a twitter clone. No one is liking it & while we still have the chance to bully staff into not making it perminent, people are already considering jumping ship

Also @stormeko same here π₯² it sucks because even when I left the first time I missed a lot of tumblr's functionality so seeing them deadset on removing it (and not fixing actual issues) blows
so annoyed with the twitterfication of tumblr that y'all will probably see me updating my neocities more in the coming weeks LOL

ive seen a post where ig theres an update for some ppl the site layout looks pretty much identical to twitter and my mood went from neutral to morbidly fucking disappointed

Absolutely agree; I was burnt out on social media-fication of platforms like.. two years ago, now whenever a platform copies the (bad) design changes made to other sites I just feel the urge to fully give up on it, lol

God I relate to this feeling. I'm so tired of corpo internet and social media sites constantly trying to mimic the "trendiest" features while ignoring literally everything the userbase(s) actually wants and/or needs.

yeah it fucking SUCKS.... there's actually a tumblr theme for your blog where it's literally just the twitter layout. and it's fully self aware too bcs the theme is called 'chirp' -__-

3 days in the making and i finished remaking my about page!!!! its inspired by the music video of one of my favorite vocaloid songs. it was so fun coding it from scratch. hope yall enjoy it as well!
i want to put a crt screen effect on the page to give it that "computer" look but im gonna leave that for another day...
