Is there specific music you have to listen to to be an EGL? I know the music did play a role in it but is it required? I'm excited to try it!

From what I've heard, seen and learned, no you don't have to! It's why most call it a fashion subculture with an emphasis on fashion. What we all have in common is what we wear and/or want to wear first! There are indeed bands and artists that wear and promote the fashion, but you aren't obliged to listen to them (would be nice if you did, but no one should be berating you for not doing/liking it)!

(i know my site doesn't really reflect it, but i've observing lolita subculture since i was a tween and started wearing it in ~2011, so i hope it's ok if i chime in!) you absolutely do NOT have to listen to a specific music genre! music did indeed play a big role in the history of lolita fashion, and made it more popular, but there isn't a rule saying you have to like/listen to them to wear the clothes. :)

that being said, i have to agree with gooby--give some bands a shot, if it at all interests you! there's some good music out there. Kanon Wakeshima is my personal favorite, and i still vibe to Malice Mizer sometimes โฅ

Put up a new page on the UFO, about my own personal thoughts on the controversial phenomenon known as autigender. I have been trying to get this done for two months now due to worrying about how it would come off, but ultimately decided these thoughts needed to be expressed.

Lots more thought provoking stuff! I've noticed myself caring less and less about what people think over the years and I'm now facinated by the idea I could be biologically wired this way, to not conform! But then, is it that I've (subconsciously or naturally) sought a life void of social contact so I don't have to conform, and thus lead my brain to become wired this way, or was it wired this way all along?!

It's not my place to make any assumptions about you specifically, but there are theories that a decreased or complete lack of social motivation is one of the absolute pillars of neurodivergency/autism. I have pondered the same thing you mentioned, and still don't know. I adore social contact with the few people I like, but it's not something I necessarily seek out or can't live without.
