Thank you very much!! The logo was inspired by late-1800s book cover styles (I love those so much, truly) though I'm not the most confident in my lettering skills, so I'm glad you like it !

I see! I love that type of book cover, and i can see you drawing inspiration from it. If you wanted to make it more resemble those book covers you should consider changing the background of the logo to either one of red, blue, green or brown, the most popular cover colours of that time, excluding black.

Wow! My main reference had a red cover, along with the black ink and gilt that I drew from for the banner image. That being said, I think your mockups with the not totally-gold back look great. When I have the energy and time, I'll have to add some detail (and a little more time, too, as this whole site design overhaul, logo included, was kind of done in a one-day frenzy, hah)

Quite similarly, love the uniform theme you have across your pages and great work on the consistency of the illustrations. Doing something similar on my website, i know what a hassle it can be at times, especially if sourced from lower quality scans. Your website is definitely one i look up to, design-wise.

Such a kind words, thank you so much. All the illustrations are scans I found on Flickr under British Library and The Public Domain Review, they have quite high quality scans. Full resolution on some of them is unbelievable.

I've come to need to use (or found) some wonderful illustrations in the most scuffed of scans, and those take quite a while to recolour and make transparent. Tends to happen when you search for very specific stuff. I'd like to recommend you broaden your search with oldbookillustrations.com and what other digital local or national libraries are available.

I will definitely go through your links and check them out, thank you for the recommendations. I actively look through the archive of national library, because I was thinking of translating (even though I am not linguist of any sorts) some interesting parts from old books and posting them here.

That is wonderful! so many skins to choose from too!! One last question, how do i add mutiple songs? just repeating the section of code and replacing urls and names leaves me with only the last song appearing on the audio player
