In Russia people use the hazard lamp to thank each other for letting them pass as well. Another widespread usage is to warn the drivers in the opposite lane of a road police outpost (controlling the speed and randomly selecting cars for a documents checkup) somewhere up ahead.

It's used to give a heads up on police? In my country, we just flick our headlights to warn drivers on the opposite lane of upcoming police speed cameras instead. Not sure what they do in Japan though, as I've never come across speed cameras so far.

Yeah, the road police just picks a random place along the road, and they stand there like that: https://www.yugopolis.ru/data/img/9585028543ccb229d51e199274be3062/354536.jpg . When they wave the striped stick at you, you should stop and prepare for the document/trunk checkup. They also manually check the speed of cars passing by. Not the most pleasant encounter for the drives, so they warn each other of it in advance

Btw ps2 wins very narrowly. Dont get me wrong I like wii sports, mario kart, and smash brawl, but ps2s got SMT digital devil saga 1 and 2, SMT raidou 1 and 2, Persona 3 and 4, Metal gear solid 2 and 3, and a ton of gundam games, and 2 jojo games. EZ win

Idc how beloved and popular and beloved an anime is, it shouldn't be a million episodes long!! If you're like me (hasn't seen most mainstream ones), being greeted with 100 episodes is just not the way!! I'd rather have things done like Jewelpet and Onegai My Melody (Like "Onegai My Melody" "Onegai My Melody: Kuru Kuru Shuffle"!! It ives a sense that you've completion and not that there's a infinity of episodes left!!

Animes that try to be overly edgy arent always bad and can be really good! Take for example zeta gundam and death note. Literally EVERYONE dies and yet its great. Ofc you shouldnt shock your viewers for the sake of being as "Mature" as possible, once i saw this clip on youtube of this guy in an anime killing this girls entire family and then talking about one piece and killing her too, and now i never wanna watch it.

Be edgy to a somewhat acceptable degree. Also joseph is THE BEST jojo and part 3 is overrated. Its good but its not literally perfect. Zakus are cooler than gundams and char is hot. Thats why hes "charred" (get it?) Those are all my unpopular opinions.

my most unpopular opinion is that evangelion didn't 'deconstruct' anything that hadn't already been done by mecha and tokusatsu in the past, it was more of a revisit of old concepts...

@Rainmirage Funny you mention this, I have slowly been working on an essay about this myself. It is not only bound by mecha and tokusatsu, though, space operas and war dramas also fall under this. Then again, you are talking to the guy who thinks The Big O is the peak of mecha and RahXephon managed to better Evangelion and Aquarion.
