Making pizza tonight with focaccia dough. Last time I did this it turned out...weird, and I think it's because the focaccia is such a wet dough but Idk, we'll see what happens.

hi I'm not dead. Idk what's been going on but brain fog is real. Stuff happened that's sort of shut down my emotions but now that means my logical brain can actually think about stuff now so...yayy. Currently trying to find a good course for learning code properly instead of staring at templates.

Sorry AGAIN for being silent, I pretty much just got back from the most epic thing I've ever done in my life. Also wow it's a new month. But for the kind messages I saw before leaving, thank you a ton, I'm full of a lot of love right now lol and just thank you. School's over, new things are happening, I'm looking forward to new hardships and working on being less melancholy. I hope everyone's been well. :)))

To keep a long story short (Neocities comment limits ;-;), I was recently struggling with a feeling of weakness and helplessness, that my incapability made me worthless. But someone told me that we ARE weak and that's why we need God. Our strength rests in Him, and in acknowledging our weakness we need to ask Him for strength. Which ties into 2 Corinthians 12:8. His power is made perfect in our weakness.

Basically, God is glorified when His strength shines through weak people. Being weak doesn't make us worth any less than anyone else, even though a lot of times it feels that way. We're all adopted sons and daughters of God through Christ, and in that our value before God is forever equal. If we were measured by our merits, we'd all be screwed lol. We're all truly weak and in need of God, no exceptions!

I want something that feels cozy and full, like my Aunt's house, yet not "full" in such a way that it feels cluttered. Like everything has a purpose and maybe the organization and placement only makes sense to me but you're still happy to be here and makes you feel as though you can rest peacefully (again, like my Aunt's house)

But anyway, my Aunt has a lot of plants in her house....and purple? I don't like purple all that much though but I got it to work for that one thing, so maybe.

Actually, slate is my favourite colour so maybe something like that...yeah...like a rainy day but not a rainy day that mocks you with sadness. But I worked really hard on that rose-gold...paper...background.... (I'm pretty proud of it actually, even though it doesn't flow as much as I'd like it to)

I hear you about AI and I like your drawing. I stopped drawing for a few months after I saw what it was capable of, but eventually I came back to it. I think for some of us, we don’t draw to be technically perfect or to mirror reality or any of that, we draw because we really, truly, do have to. Creativity is an engine for us we just can’t turn off. We’ll see what the audience for art prefers in the end.

I also hear ya on that! When I stop drawing for too long a sort of angst builds up in my head. I gotta draw and I loathe being apart from it. I also agree on the benefit of obscurity. It's nice not feeling pressured to draw anything in particular, which seems like a common pitfall these days with modern social media. ;-;

Trying to figure out what I want to do next with my website. Some of the links on my navbar have been dead since I first made the site. I haven't touched the Montana X-Files section in forever either. Maybe I should consolidate a bit? Like I can put whatever I want to talk about into my Blog rather than making more sections. Dunno.

For me, typing up anything seems to take a lot of time and energy, so I often wonder whether stuff like Blog posts are even worth the time. It may be because I'm falling victim to that woeful thing perfectionism, so I put in too much effort in making them which takes out the fun. I don't want to make it a chore, or make stuff 'cause I feel obligated to do so.

I'll have to come back to it with a clearer head, but so far my conclusion is that I should focus on the fun of making my website, rather than some idea of an obligation or burden. This may mean that I remove stuff I don't feel like putting time into anymore (such as the Montana X-Files), though we'll have to see.

Don't think that we, the readers, are some kind of boss that you MUST show new stuff to often. If you make something and want to show it off, then don't let us stop you! If you don't, that's cool too! We're just along for the ride.
