@ your current status.cafe, duckduckgo is legit it's just that a lot of the people who mention it/care about privacy in technology in general tend to be 4chan /g/ types

piggybacking. ive used duckduckgo for many years now. the more you use it the better you understand how to search for stuff. i will say that i feel the search results are better than google if you are looking for a more diverse result. google tends to show you the same hits multiple times.

I can vouch it's fine, I use it personally, I haven't noticed anything odd from my usage of it?
