I started posting today about playing a mediocre to bad licensed Famicom in its original Japanese! It probably won't be very engaging, blog-wise, but I'm hoping I can get to the end with a basic understanding of what's going on!

Does anyone else ever have a strange anxious feeling about starting a big video game? I have a lot of neat RPGs to play, but have an awful nervous/panic feeling about actually sitting down to start them! I don’t understand at all.

The overconfidence is wild, but I think it might be more interesting than its reputation suggests, too! I kind of like the overworld free setup in a 3d game like this, it makes the emphasis on mastering stage layouts and beating best times feel less forced. Plus, cat.

Omg!!! The Amy plushie is so adorable, though it feels like she's waiting for something... Sitting there in a dimly lit area next to a famicom and a snes. Maybe it's the 90s and she's waiting to ambush Mario for besmirching Sonic's good name?!
Oh, geez, I didn't even think of the implications- Amy could take Mario out, I believe this sincerely. She's just biding her time...
