i think it would be cool to be able to turn my website 'off' and 'on,' just in case it's ever at risk of the wrong people finding it, and there are probably very complicated ways to do that but the easiest might just be a landing page that i can keep editing the 'home/index' link on!! not foolproof but would deter someone lazy or easily confused by pathnames. will work on that tomorrow morning

I think melonking's website has "opening and closing days", it might be worth looking at how that functions and see if you can make something similar
