The RPG Maker Webring will be closed to new members for a while (mostly). I'm evaluating how to make it more manageable and possibly narrowing the rules. I really wanted the webring to exist as a way to find new RPG Maker content and cool fans, but I feel like it's becoming less of that over time.. And the linkrot is a bit exhausting to deal with T_T I do love the ring though. Hopefully this is for a short while

What's the best way to create a 50x50 fanlist styled code/icon without totally killing the quality of the image or text? I'm stepping away for the night but I'm stumped! Graphic design is NOT my passion ლ(¯ロ¯”ლ)

The font used is likely pixel font at a setting that doesn't smooth the font out. I forgot what the setting is in Photoshop and I use Photopea now.

Hm... images are tough but when resizing you can try "nearest neighbor" or sharpen. I would try resizing the image first and then applying the small, pixel font and see what it looks like? This is so that you don't resize both the image and the font at the same time or it might mess with the font.

Found the font settings lol. I haven't tone anything type-wise in photopea yet lol. When you're adding font, there's settings for "none", "sharp", "crisp" etc. You can find which one looks best for you, but I usually use "none" when I use pixelated fonts which keeps the edges sharp if I remembered correctly.

Really sorry for the infodump asdfghjkl;' I... have a Photoshop history lol. But that's how I applied the pixel font on my web buttons for example. That's just how I did it though. ;w;

Soulbox is right! Resize and crop your img first then add the font then sharpen. Mess with the sharpen settings cus they all do look slightly different and see which works for you. Try to use an anti-aliased font too

@soulbox @pom thank you so much guys, your advice really helped! In the future I think I'm going to sharpen and mess with the image quality after adding the text and border. @marija it wasn't difficult at all! The one I used is quite small which gives better control imo, and less intimidating to use because of that. If you keep distance between the flame and food, then it won't burn. You're always so kind, thank you so much!! Wish you could try some ♡♡
